It’s Handmade Monday and I’ve had a few glitches in my item I’ve been working on. I’ll do an entire blog on it, maybe more than one, but it’s not really ready for prime time as they say, so I was searching desperately for something to blog about this morning, at the last minute. I do have another pursuit that consumes me that I haven’t really blogged. Partially because I had not figured out how to link Flickr and my blog, and partially because I do incorporate it as a matter of course into my craft blogs and tutorials anyway. That would be photography.
However, just doing a blog about my pictures seemed a little lame, so I thought I would use them as a way to introduce my other passion, my golden retriever, Pauli. She is sort of handmade, but not by me. I did have her mother, who went by the name of Winfrey and was my first Champion. Pauli is now retired from the show ring, and spends her days lounging around and graciously letting me take photos of her. She also chases lizards, walks on the Ave downtown any chance she gets and keeps me wonderful company. She’s particularly photogenic. See what you think. 🙂
Then head over to Wendy’s and check out the real items for Handmade Monday for this week! But come back, I promise to have some things cooking when I get this thing I’m working on worked out! 🙂
I don’t think it’s lame doing a blog about your photos – as creative as any other craft I reckon! x x for the star – Pauli that is! Nancy
Thank you. I spend much too much time with my camera!
Asses, how cute -that looks like a beautifully kind natured and well loved dog!
Thanks for sharing.
Happy handmade Monday

That comment was meant to start with Aaaaahhhhhh, (not asses, – don’t know where that came from)!!!!

LOL Rebecca, I thought maybe it was some sort of lost in translation thing! 🙂 And yes, she is all of those things. I have had many dogs thru the years, and Pauli is one of the jewels, very easy to live with, and just sweet and kind (unless you are a lizard).
Aww lovely dog. As for showing your photo’s, why not? They’re just as creative as anything else!
Thank you. Now that I know how, I may start blogging photos on occasion. When I’m being a little lazy! 🙂
She is a real cutie and such a good photo shot. Thanks for sharing with us.
Pauli is so sweet, we lost Barney in November last year age 15.5 years, hoping to hear about a new puppy due the end of this week, keeping fingers crossed there are enough to go around, such faithful companions and off course helpers!!!
Oh, I’m so sorry to hear you lost Barney, I have lost a few through the years, and it is always so hard. 15.5 is such a long life for a golden! I will look forward to pictures of your new baby! They are wonderful companions. We have had several other breeds, the main one being Spinoni. We hope to have another of those in the not too distant future. But for now, Pauli is a happy only dog. (and she does *believe* she is a helper, altho sometimes her help is a little unhelpful!)
You have some beautiful Photographs, thank you for sharing them.

Thank you Jan, it’s sort of an obsession.
OH i’m happy to see Pauli here, she’s so sweet !
Bisous !
So it’s not just me that struggles with flickr?
I’ve had a little trouble figuring out how to get the photos here (apparently it worked this time) but still only seem to be able to get one per post. I used to be better at this stuff, but as they make it more user friendly it seems to get less me friendly! 🙂 Do you have a flickr page? I’ll have to check it out.
