I am starting to think about Thanksgiving Dinner. I know, most people have long since planned out what they’re cooking, but because it’s just the two of us, I really haven’t given it much thought. I’m not making a turkey, that’s too much food for 2 people and I don’t want all that leftover stuff.
So, time to start ruminating… Any suggestions?

Hi Susie,
It’s me Elly from flickr. It’s just two of us also. Neither of us are too crazy about turkey so we usually do some version of surf and turf. This year I think that we’ll be skipping the turf portion and just have lots of shrimp. We have 5# of colossal shrimp (love the oxymoron). I think that should about fill us up ;-), along with fresh veggies from the garden.
I love the idea of seafood (always!). One year we did lobster, it was such a treat! I don’t make that often, mostly because I’m not confident about making it. We finally settled on Mexican food because I was shamed into trying tamales by a friend. I have never made them, and since I am from New Mexico it seemed a little silly that I have never made them. I am a little jealous that you have a vegetable garden! That was a plan for this fall for me that never materialized. Maybe in the spring. 🙂
